Review rules
This page describes the rules that apply to user reviews on Comparamigo. The goal is that reviews be useful, verifiable, and free of manipulation. The rules are published before a user submits a review, and everything described below applies uniformly without exceptions per rated entity.
Eligibility to review
To submit a review of a financial product, the author must have had a documentable experience as an applicant or customer of the product in question. Verification is done via the session id linked to the application event or, if the experience happened outside the Comparamigo flow, via reasonable evidence supplied by the author. Anonymous reviews are accepted; fake or impersonated reviews are not. Eligibility does NOT depend on application outcome — a rejected application grants the same right to review as an approved one.
Allowed content
A review may describe: the application flow (clarity, speed, requirements), the lender behavior during the process (communication, transparency, respect), the verifiable outcome (approval or rejection and the reasons given), effective costs compared to published costs, and post-disbursement experience if any (customer service, incident resolution). It is allowed to name the product and the rated lender, cite real amounts and dates, and attach screenshots with personal data redacted.
Prohibited content
We do not publish reviews that: contain identifiable personal data of third parties (ID numbers, bank account numbers, private contacts), discriminatory or aggressive language unrelated to the product, defamatory accusations without documentary support, promotional content disguised as a genuine review, or duplicates from the same author on the same product within 90 days. We also do not accept reviews sponsored by the rated entity — this is fraud and the author account is suspended.
Moderation flow
Every review passes through a two-layer moderation flow: an automatic layer that detects obvious fraud signals (bursts of new accounts, shared IPs, identical content, decoy words) and a human editorial layer that reviews flagged cases. The human layer operates under the same rules for all entities — the rated entity does not influence whether a review about it is published. Target moderation time is 48 hours. When a review is rejected, the author receives the concrete reason, not a generic response.
Review dispute
If a rated entity considers a review to be false or defamatory, it may request review by sending documentary evidence to the editorial contact. The dispute review is independent of initial moderation and applies the same standards: if the evidence shows the review breaches the rules, it is removed with a date stamp and an entry in /about/corrections. Otherwise, it stays. The original author has a right of reply at the same evidence level. The final dispute decision is published in /about/corrections when applicable.
Anonymity and privacy
Comparamigo allows reviews to be signed with a pseudonym or anonymously. Internal author verification (linked to the session or application id) is NEVER published; it only serves to audit eligibility. If an author requests to be forgotten, their review is removed and replaced by a "review withdrawn at author request" marker to preserve context if other reviews referenced it. Removed reviews do not appear in the public history; corrections due to moderation error do.
FAQ
Why does it sometimes take long to approve my review?
Reviews pass through automatic and editorial moderation. Target time is 48 hours, but cases flagged by the automatic layer are reviewed manually. If more than 5 days have passed, contact the editorial team.
Can I review a product I applied for and was rejected?
Yes. The right to review does not depend on outcome, only on having gone through the flow. A rejected application communicated with a clear reason is as reviewable as an approved one.
What if an entity threatens legal action over my review?
If the review complies with the rules and provides documentable evidence or experience, it stays. Comparamigo responds to the entity with the rules documentation and, where applicable, the dispute process described above.
Can payment remove a review?
No. This is absolutely prohibited by the conflict-of-interest policy and the review rules. Any documented attempt would be published in /about/corrections with the name of the requesting entity.
What do I do if I see a review that looks fake?
Report it to the editorial team via the contact in /about. The automatic layer also monitors patterns, but individual suspect reviews are reviewed manually when reported.
